Tierra Negra is a Mexican-American CPG food start-up, based in Chicago, specializing in premium Mexican salsas. Our mission is to create unexpected Mexican flavors, using century old ingredients for the modern world. We currently offer a Dark Mexican Salsa made of dried chili peppers, natural ingredients, no preservatives, all cooked in olive oil. We plan on expanding our product line with our premium red and green Mexican salsa this fall. Our vision is to give more than just another condiment, give a cultural experience. Since our launch one year ago, we've been featured on Inc. Magazine, finalist for the 2025 NEXTY Award in the spice and condiment category, finalist for the 2025 Albertsons Launchpad competition for global flavors, are part of the Meijer Local Favorite program of the state of Illinois and most recently we won 1st place in the Naturally Chicago Pitch Competition. We are excited about our recently launched product and to continue to get people to discover why so many have described Tierra Negra simply too good for just a chip.
